Message from the Head of CSR

Promote CSR Activities within the Toho Acetylene Group

Stakeholder demands for corporate social responsibility (CSR) are increasing, and we recognize CSR activities as a crucial element in enhancing our corporate value. Our group has consolidated these principles into the “Toho Acetylene Group CSR Charter” and is collectively dedicated to CSR initiatives. We are committed to fulfilling our corporate social responsibility and contributing to the sustainable development of society.
To facilitate CSR efforts, we have established the “CSR Promotion Committee,” I serve as the head of CSR, overseeing and driving initiatives comprehensively for all stakeholders.

Strengthen the foundation of our management

Regarding the environment, we have established an “Environmental Policy” overseen by the executive officer overseeing environmental safety and quality assurance. This structure promotes activities such as reducing environmental impact associated with business activities, developing products that contribute to societal issues, and engaging in environmental conservation activities in local communities. Additionally, we prioritize the systematic reduction of CO2 emissions generated by business activities as a key management objective.
In society, we are enhancing the work environment, emphasizing the well-being of employees—our most valuable management resource. By recruiting diverse talents, including women, foreigners, and individuals with various career backgrounds, we actively support and promote their contributions while embracing diverse perspectives. Furthermore, Regular human rights education, compliance training, and CSR education are conducted throughout the organization, fostering internal awareness through ongoing education initiatives.
For corporate governance, we have implemented an executive officer system, appointed female outside directors, and increased outside audit committee members, strengthening a framework that enhances management integrity, transparency, and efficiency. In compliance, the “Compliance Committee,” overseen by the responsible executive officer, has been established to build a group-wide compliance promotion structure, ensuring the understanding and adherence to corporate ethics among our group’s officers and employees. Finally, in risk management, the “Risk Management Committee,” under the jurisdiction of the executive officer in charge of risk management, has been set up to establish a framework capable of addressing various risks.
Our Toho Acetylene Group is committed to advancing CSR activities through environmental, social, and governance perspectives, aspiring to be a company valued by society.
We appreciate your anticipation for our growth on this journey.
